maladaptive and I have been talking about it for a while, and we concluded that men who whine about how the women they used to date don't nice guys like them are not, in fact, nice guys.

I would like to add, now that I've had experience, that men who constantly tell you how rational, how logical they are, and how therefore it must be the fault of the women they used to date that they broke up? Are probably not rational or logical.

If I just told you I was annoyed about an issue that you don't know anything about -- ironically, half the content was in my last journal entry, so his reading skills aren't that great either -- don't try to tell me that I'm wrong about what's really going on because you interpreted a statement of mine too literally and then refused to let go of the interpretation when I told you that you were being too literal.

Even if you're as rational as you claim, it's been difficult, in our brief association, to have a fun conversation with you through your ego. Thanks for helping me find a good point to block you at -- it's certainly been on my mind.

Ah. Feeling better about my day now. Even if I do have to start a new search for Boston housing.

I've come to the conclusion that real nice guys are totally unaware that they're nice. Or, they can be nice because they lack the asshole aspect, but they can be really really creepy.

The thing is that real nice guys would never actually SAY something like that, so that statement in and of itself is a way to clean out the idiots. The real nice guys just go on being nice and trying to get somewhere, and occasionally get taken advantage of by mean girls along the way. I married a nice guy - okay, he's a nice guy that wants to be the next evil despot of earth, but he's NICE about it. :-D
