Mom: So how was the thing last night?
The thing being a birthday party for a friend of my roomies. I sincerely intended to go, because sushi and socializing are good things, but they had to pick Clarisse's mom up at the airport and didn't intend to come back before the sushi outing. This was a tad more social than I wanted to be, because hanging out with strangers for an hour and a half before having dinner at a RESTAURANT with strangers is... urgh. But I told Mom about it and I didn't want to tell her I didn't go, so I lied and said it went fine, not that great, but it lasted too long.
Mom: So it was good?
Me: Eh...
Mom: Not good?
Me: It was just too long.
Mom: Did you whine?
Me: ......
Mom: Hello? KIM??
Me: ...yes?
Mom: Did you whine?
Me: I'm going to pretend you didn't ask that ridiculous and inappropriate question.
Mom: Well, you always whine with me.
And you're a pain in the ASS with me, but I don't ask you if you were a pain in the ass everytime you go out to see friends. What the hell is wrong with this woman?
