renachan42 and, eh, why not? :D I'M ONLY AT WORK. I wrote way too much for all of this.
01. Anyone who's met me can confirm that I live with my iPod. I walk around all day at work with my headphones on. The sound isn't always on -- I'm just more comfortable with them on.
02. This week in the card store I almost cried because the Father's Day card I found was just so perfect for how much I adore my father. Last year in the card store I spent hours looking for a card for Mother's Day, because all the ones I found were adoring, and I didn't want to lie to her.
03. I spent all last summer panicking because I couldn't find an apartment that didn't suck, and just as I reached a fever-pitch of desperation, I found Clarisse and Lucinda, who are genuinely the best possible fit for me that I could imagine, short of actually watching anime with me.
03.5. I think Clarisse's mother might watch anime with me. She plays video games, anyway, and fangirls about fantasy novels.
04. When I was in my senior year of college my mother got a new diet and replaced everything sane in the house with whole wheat products -- whole wheat bread, whole wheat cereal, whole wheat pasta, etc. There is nothing edible in the house, and I can never move in with her again.
05. I privately enjoy dressing well and dressing up, but I am aesthetically retarded, so I usually just wind up wearing a solid-colored t-shirt and jeans. The only exception to this rule is the skirt I bought while visitingphinnia last year, now torn, but I wear it all the time anyway. It may be my favorite article of clothing.
06. A mirror has been sitting on my drawers for six months now, waiting for me to get around to actually putting the screws into the wall. I have it propped up so I can see myself in it without actually having to hang it.
07. When I worked five hours a day part time for the Foundation, I spent maybe an hour and a half of that time doing work. Now that I work eight hours a day full time for Ashley, I spend maybe three hours a day doing work.
08. I survive on four hours of sleep a night. On a good day -- most of the time these days I get no more than three. Whenever I attempt to go to sleep early and get more sleep, my body wakes me up a corresponding amount early. Last night I got less than three hours of sleep because I woke up an hour before my alarm.
09. I am a sad, addicted technophile, and resent every moment where I'm forced to be offline. It doesn't matter why. Family? Party? Movies? Resentment. I bring notebooks to these events so that I can keep myself busy by writing. I'll probably bring a notebook to the girls' wedding.
10. Despite my undying love for RPGs, I almost never finish them, even the ones I adore. I can probably count the number of games I've completed on both hands without running out of fingers. Yes, Kingdom Hearts 2 counts. I'm not sure if Kingdom Hearts 1 counts. Technically I mademadfnorder play that for me. On the other hand, I'm not sure if I'll ever finish Suikoden V -- or Tales of Legendia.
11. There is nothing that makes me happier than watching something I've already seen before with someone who hasn't yet. Even if we're miles apart and our only communication is via AIM, I can be filled with warmfuzzy by sharing opinions and commentary and theories, and sometimes if I think I know where the other person is, I will turn on the episode and have it playing in the background while I'm doing other things, just so I'll know what they're seeing when they comment.
11.5.refracting doesn't know this, but she made my week when she watched LOST season 1 at my suggestion, and then proceeded to hop online every episode or two to squeal at me about her thoughts and impressions. ♥♥ (She also made my week with a certain polar bear.)
11.5.2. Right now I am watching Ouran High School Host Club, the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, and XXXholic. But very, very slowly. I would probably watch them faster if I had someone to watch with.
12. For my birthday last August I asked for only one thing from everyone: a belt. To keep up my pants. Nobody bought me one. I posted here and several people gave me recommendations. I still don't own one, ten months later. But yesterday whilenot working I ordered one from Overstock.com.
13. I hate my skin, my teeth, and my nose. I like my eyes and my hair. I like my nails, but wish they would stop doing weird things, like growing lopsidedly or chipping at the edges.
14. Sometimes I feel bad -- I use a lot of the girls' resources, like their butter, their laundry detergent, etc. They never ask me for money and I never remember to buy it for myself. I suggested once that we start up a group cash deposit for these things, but it never happened.
15. I really don't know if I think anyone will ever be attracted to me in a real way, and I really don't know whether or not that bothers me. I've been curious, but I've never actually had what I would call a crush on another person.
16. I love to sing and I'm pretty good at it. I sang for most of my life through college, but once there I stopped. I thought the only musical group I could join was the female a cappella group, because for some reason I never heard that we had a regular choir.
17. Right now, the people I talk to every day, or nearly every day, make me ridiculously happy. The people I RP with make me ridiculously happy. The people who enjoy my fanfics enough to write fanfics about my fanfics make me ridiculously happy. I want more of these people, but am usually too shy to say so. What if the reason we don't talk more already is because they're not as interested in me?
18. I've told myself every day for about four months now that I will create a template for tracking my spending on MS Excel, and use it consistently. I haven't. I don't spend a lot of money, ever, on myself -- I don't shop for clothes unless necessary, I don't buy a lot of books or music or anything -- but I don't know where my money goes and how much I make overall, and I always forget which of my parents owes me money this month.
19. My mother thinks I'm from outer space. No need to ask her who her favorite child is. I'm never going to be the person my mother wants me to be, and she will always sneer at all my hobbies and interests and preferences, and I'm fine with that now. I do, however, think it's sad that I had to learn to be fine with that.
20. This whole meme makes my life sound really depressing and full of angst, but I usually enjoy my lame excuse for a life. It's not easy to make me angsty for long because I have a short attention span.

I finished FF6 and FF7... Those are the only FF games I've finished, despite playing them all and looooving FF9. Ocarina of Time I finished, but not Majora's Mask, and not Windwaker, despite being most of the way done with that one also. I also finished the Gameboy Zelda game! XD Does, does that count? (Not Minish Cap, although I played that up to the last dungeon, and then my save data was erased. >_< )

In other news, I must know what this skirt is!!! I have a new favorite from Old navy, just a flowy linen skirt that's like wearing comfy PJs, only I can't wear it to work til I get an appropriate slip for under it. Otherwise everyone will see my underoos!
And yeah, I haven't really played many RPGs, though I did get hooked on FFX pretty good. Minish cap on DS, and then WoW (if that counts!)

It's such a lovely skirt. *_* I bought it at one of the hippie stores in Portland -- it's cotton, floor-length, a wrap-around, and in neutral Indian patterns that go with every solid shirt I own. I wear it CONSTANTLY.
