NaNo update

My tally up through today: Byakuya/Yoruichi at 1430, Rukia/Orihime at 1401, Kenpachi/Yachiru at 358 (I'd already written part of it, that was how much it took to finish), Kira/Kiyone at 3589 (er).

I am at: 6778. That's about 1695 words a day, which means I met my quota. WOOOO.

Also rewatched all of GetBackers, and have concluded that sometimes, Bleach filler is nice. As long as we don't get the second coming of the Bount arc, it's vastly preferable to have eight episodes of nonsense, half fun crack and half totally lame "plot", than to have them make up an entire story arc that doesn't make sense and then say, "And that's how they defeated Aizen. The end," while the manga chugs on.

When you first mentioned you were writing Byakuya/Yoruichi, I thought...naaaah. Then I saw it again and thought...hmmm. Now, I'm to the point of ....oooooooh!

My thoughts are that of a slow monkey. It's true.

I still don't understand how it can take less time to make a show than a manga. Shouldn't the anime always be behind?!?! So confusing.

It more or less comes down to that you can fit more action into a 22-minute (19 if you discount the opening, ending, preview, and omake) animated segment than into a 15 - 20 page manga chapter.

I'm just wondering HOW they're going to fit in filler this time around... extended side-story in the mortal world? Flashbacks?
