Fansoundtracks are serious business!

I love FSTs so much and I want to make them (like, seven of them, DAMN YOU REQUEST MONTH) but I always feel bad about making them because I feel like I don't listen to interesting enough music. :(

Matchbox 20, wow
No one will ever have heard "If You're Gone" before!

Sigh. 1450 songs on my iPod -- surely some of them must not be terribly boring to anyone who's listened to the radio since 1987!

I'm currently making an FST myself, and there are quite a few songs I have on there that most people know.

I think the only thing you should be worried about when making an FST (besides the number of songs, as I have no idea if there is a limit) is whether the song fits the character/show/couple in question. So, don't worry about how well-known the song is. If it fits the theme, use it. Have fun!

I feel the same way when it comes to FSTs. My music tastes aren't really out there, and I'm always worried that someone will end up really despising the music choices.

That's why I've never finished one. ^^;

Dream Theater perhaps? Anybody who could put Pull Me Under on an FST would earn my undying love, I can assure you.

I can see what you mean. If you're just posting for your own satisfaction, it's not an issue, but it's different when you're trying to fill a request. :/ Then again, the played out more familiar songs seem to go over better anyway, so maybe you shouldn't worry so much.

If there are any particular tracks that are really bothering you, I could try digging up possible substitutions. I may not have any taste, but my roommate and I do have 10,000+ songs between us.

Ah yeah. I like making them, but then I'm thinking - I shouldn't put too much of this or this on in case people hate it.
