Mac Retardation Record #4: Firefox
Oct. 28th, 2005 11:08 amIn the continuing chronicles of Macs not being the superior computer race everyone swears up and down they are (wherein the first episode was fun with keyboard templates, the second was the pure venom that is their preinstalled demo software, and the third was critical lockup resulting in compudeath and the loss of a beautiful story *sniffle*)...
I installed Firefox on this computer. It insists on downloading the package to the desktop, which then after installation becomes cluttered with two random icons that I want to go away. I delete the one that I downloaded from the website, the package.
For the third day in a row, I have had to reinstall Firefox upon arriving. Deleting the ZIP FILE in which Firefox came should NOT DELETE THE PROGRAM. This "helpful" drag-it-to-the-trash-and-it-uninstalls feature is driving me crazy.
