This is like, a week late, but I have commentary on this week's Glee episode! I'm disappointed there was so much Will, I was promised an episode where someone else took over for him and instead he was constantly up to his eyeballs in plot. :( Boo.

I have mixed feelings about the Umbrella/Singing in the Rain mashup. On the one hand, it was amazing and I downloaded it because I liked it that much. On the other hand, I thought, "This one incredibly orchestrated synthesized and decorated set number is probably a glee club's entire budget for like -- four years. This is why the Warblers just sang a damn a capella number on their lunch break, you guys. They're still going to have money when sectionals comes around."

It was a little too over-the-top for my suspension of disbelief. I mean, five minutes of constant rain machine antics! And I mean, obviously choreographed and rehearsed-- And the rocket launchers in the All That Jazz number--

Yeah, okay.

Anyway, music was good this episode. The "A" plot was iffy, as usual, but I was happy.

Oh god I've never had this problem before, but I am having terrible difficulty.

So, first let me state that I finally finished Tales of Vesperia. It took the better part of two years, but I don't want you to let that affect your opinion of what I'm about to say: I think this is my favorite game of all time. And I think Yuri is my favorite game character of all time.

Now, to follow that up.

I ship both Yuri/Flynn and Yuri/Judith. So hard. That itself is difficult; usually I ship a lot of things, but there's always one I play favorites with. I ship Sora with Riku and with Namine, but my leanings for the Sora/Namine pairing are much stronger even though I would say operatively, I ship them about the same amount. So it's new to have almost a tie for favorite pairing. (Flynn edges Judith out just a teensy bit.)

And -- and when I go back and dwell on the PS3 version where Flynn is in your party, I feel like my ship leanings are literally collaborating. There are a lot of scenes where Judith is interested in Yuri's reactions about Flynn, or where it feels like she's measuring up Flynn because of Yuri.

I am concerned that the PS3 game is-- Judith is--

--that the universe is conspiring to make me want an OT3.

So, since I'm predictable, expect a lot of future posts about Tales of Vesperia.
