I realized Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is out, so I decided to pick up re:Coded again and try to finish it so I could see if I care. I played a little, and gained a level, and almost died like four times, but I made it.

Then I realized I couldn't remember how to save. Was it in the menu? Maybe it's just in the menu. So I press the big obvious button on the front of my 3DS.

Which is the power button.

Why this design decision? Why place the power button right under the heel of my hand, so that I can accidentally turn off my game? And have, in the past!

And then why make it insulting? Why, when I press this button, does the system immediately ditch all my game progress, but not turn off fully? Then it just goes "Do you want to turn off the rest of the way, or just go to the menu? You can't go back to your game, though, I've already ruined that!"

That button should just open a menu that says "Do you want to turn off the console, go to the console menu, or cancel and go back to your game?"

Now I'm sad and angry, so I'm going to play more FF9. I'm going to be continuing my liveblogging here.
