1. fucking cows in retrospect
Line from a retarded flash video, featuring an EXTREEEEEME Bugs Bunny parody. It's a lot of cursing and EXTREEEEEMEness, but the last line is "You fuck cows in retrospect!" which is -- such a bizarre and hilarious thing to say, my roommates and I immediately put it into our interests list.
2. sinister ducks
This is another line from something, this time a song called "March of the Sinister Ducks". This song is hilarious and really spreads awareness of the sinister nature of ducks. They'll smirk at your hairstyle, wearing their plaid jackets, and sleep with your wife! Those web-footed fascists even force old ladies to throw them bread, I heard.
3. subaseka
Subaseka is the Japanese shorthand for Subarashiki Kono Sekai/The World Ends With You, everyone's favorite game featuring clones of Kingdom Hearts characters! I like this game because it's very unique in tone and gameplay, and it has a tremendous character evolution story that really connects with me. The music is terrible though.
4. scrapped princess
Awesome, awesome, awesome anime with gorgeous animation. In a fantasy setting (...or is it?), your heroine is Pacifica, the poison who will destroy the world. Her adopted siblings are trying to save her from the hordes of people who want to kill her before she can turn 16 and kill everyone else, but deep down Pacifica isn't sure she should be saved. After all, if she's really supposed to destroy the world... I highly recommend this series to everyone. Everywhere.
5. neku/joshua
From Subaseka, Neku is your main character who starts out the Game hating everyone, and Joshua is his partner for the second week of the game -- an effeminate giggling boy who keeps making sly comments about staring at Neku's ass interspersed with his total manipulative bastardry. While I enjoy their relationship platonically probably more than as a couple, I can't stop enjoying the fact that Square-Enix is clearly aware of and encouraging the fangirl reaction to this pairing.
Also Neku tops, internet.
6. hinamori
Hinamori Momo is a character in Bleach. A bright and cheerful girl who was taken in by the most brilliant con artist in the series. People think Hinamori is a weak-willed idiot for being fooled, but she just picked the wrong guy to fall in love with. :\ But I love her relationships with her friends (Renji and Kira's little ringleader) (Hitsugaya's crush) (Nanao's bookworm buddy) and I love her potential. I played her (
truthward) at an RP for several months.
7. megami kouhosei
Megami Kouhosei, Candidate for Goddess, is a manga (the anime is much more bland) series that I was desperately in love with for like 2-3 years. I still have a good number of friends from that fandom -- friends I became really close with, which doesn't seem to happen anymore on the internet and I don't know why.
Anyway, it's a sci-fi series about a boy named Zero who goes to the Goddess Operator Academy to become a Goddess Pilot -- the Goddesses being five giant mecha. But the Goddesses aren't just robots; unknown to most people, they're alive, and they seem to have a strong connection to Zero and his hated rival Hiead. Also, Zero's partner/mysterious spiritual sister is a really hot catgirl.
Tragically, MK was never completed and it looks like the mangaka (D.N.Angel's creator Sugisaki Yukiru) may not pick it up again. Sigh.
