Meandering! The Persona and the Odin Sphere
Jason and I played up to the first dungeon sequence in Persona 3, and I approve. Characters and game system seem cool, I like the atmosphere and the ideas. Jason pondered something that may not actually be addressed in the game: what does it say about Minato, that he has all these Personas, which are supposedly representations of your soul, etc? It's like he switches personalities, identities, at the drop of a hat. What must it be like to know someone like that? Wouldn't it be freaky? Silent hero syndrome, though.
He also showed me the complete collection of videos of Gwendolyn's story in Odin Sphere. I'm glad she andEmo Knight Oswald? got a happy ending, for about two seconds before the end of the world. I'm probably very spoiled and it won't have the same impact as if I'd played it from scratch (assuming you open the character scenarios one at a time; this may not be correct) but it was very engaging.
So they're both on my list. Sigh. Might buy them on Friday, when I go to see Hellboy lololol

A+++ for you for playing Persona ♥

It is kind of meta. X3 This is your faceless character with minimal personality, do with him what you will...! I do feel like I have a very vague grasp of what his base character might be like at the moment, though, so it's not all bad. Maybe I'll feel more comfortable with it as I play.
♥ Everyone loves it, so I figured I'd give it a try, and it looks like fun times. I've always been a sucker for that dating sim time management thing, though. XD

Oh god the dating. When you start hitting the higher ranks, the girls can get jealous if you go out with someone else :'3

Teehee. But don't they know he needs to build social links?!

Social Links? What are those? D:
this game is ridiculous, but I love it ♥

Course all the girls that 'Minato' dates clearly don't see it that way. >>

But YEAH I doubt his girlfriends agree. Maybe they're interacting with his "persona" of the day. XD

I have a vague idea of his character, at this point, but it's entirely possible from both my impressions and the game itself that he's supposed to be read like that.

Yukari is my favoritest, even if 90% of fandom hates her D:

That's pretty much why I stay away from the fandom itself and just read fanfiction.

I've seen you before. When I was out searching for communities through the interests pages, I kept seeing your name under users with matches. Of course, I edit my interests like every other week, so some aren't there anymore (Xenogears, Xenosaga, Minato/Yukari, Breath of Fire, Ichigo/Orihime, Shelke, etc etc)
I ended up shying away from commenting when that kept happening, but...
Mind if I friend you? You strike me as a hip and happening dood.

Yeah, I sort of model them after those oldschool anime titles. XD

Oh, and the food. I'm a sucker for games that integrate food/cooking. XD
You might also want to give GrimGrimoire (another Vanillaware title) a shot if you get the chance. It's a joint with Nippon Ichi, so it's a strategy RPG rather than an action one. It tends to get mediocre reviews since there's really only one battle map for the entire game, but the gameplay makes up for that, I think. Also, I love the main character, and she and her girlfriend are adorable together.

I think I wound up getting Atelier Iris instead of Grim Grimoire and then... never playing it. I do have a soft spot for girlbonding, but I'm a bit wary of strategy RPGs... I love strategy games, but these days they make very complex strategy games, and it's so easy for them to go askew for me. I love Disgaea, but there's too much grinding for me; I liked the idea of Phantom Brave, but I seem to recall the battle system felt way too busy for me.

If nothing else, GrimGrimoire has zero grinding because it has zero leveling, but it can get a little on the complex side. For me, it was the perfect blend of planning and chaos, but then, I kind of like the hectic nature of Gensui V's map battles while most everyone else seems to hate them. XD; Maybe I'm destined to stand alone in my fannish love.

If you find them, DEFINITELY get Odin Sphere, and look for Persona 3: FES especially. It has some more goodies than the original did (costumes!), plus a playable Aigis after-story.
