Meandering! The Persona and the Odin Sphere

Jason and I played up to the first dungeon sequence in Persona 3, and I approve. Characters and game system seem cool, I like the atmosphere and the ideas. Jason pondered something that may not actually be addressed in the game: what does it say about Minato, that he has all these Personas, which are supposedly representations of your soul, etc? It's like he switches personalities, identities, at the drop of a hat. What must it be like to know someone like that? Wouldn't it be freaky? Silent hero syndrome, though.

He also showed me the complete collection of videos of Gwendolyn's story in Odin Sphere. I'm glad she and Emo Knight Oswald? got a happy ending, for about two seconds before the end of the world. I'm probably very spoiled and it won't have the same impact as if I'd played it from scratch (assuming you open the character scenarios one at a time; this may not be correct) but it was very engaging.

So they're both on my list. Sigh. Might buy them on Friday, when I go to see Hellboy lololol

Well actually, the multiple persona for Minato thing - if you want to read into it - could very well have to do with the fact that he doesn't have any one set personality.

It gets kind of meta at this point! The Persona-switching thing as an eerie game mechanic to execute the player personality...

I have a vague idea of his character, at this point, but it's entirely possible from both my impressions and the game itself that he's supposed to be read like that.
