Hellboy II: The Golden Army

Pretty much everything I'd hoped it would be, and then some, since fortunately I wasn't asking for plot twists or subtlety or anything. It can stay.

That color spread is gorgeous. Ichigo and Rukia's reunion was adorable. I fangirl Orihime more with just about every passing chapter.

I so didn't even realize that was Allen until I read it again, I are inattentive. Also, Mana, whaaat. Goddamn the art in this series is gorgeous.

Odin Sphere

Finished playing through Gwendolyn's story, started on Cornelius's. The pooka are so cute aaaah. Oswald/Gwendolyn can stay. I kind of want to drabble for them, but I guess I should play Oswald's story before I write anything involving him. Myrissss This game gets really hard -- I die on every boss, mini-boss, and some random battles -- but since death is totally painless, it was less a matter of difficulty and more a matter of patience.

I didn't even finish Gwendolyn's story before I hit a bug that trapped me in a stage. I couldn't even go backwards. By then I was so disgusted by the hardness that I just put it down in favor of something else.

Aw. Odin Sphere is probably the most frustrating game I played all the way through. I was very tempted to give up at several points (kay_willow is fast approaching an extremely annoying battle against wizards. THEY CAN TURN YOU INTO A FROG AND AT THIS POINT YOU HAVE NO ANTI-FROG POTION) but the Pretty and the story kept me going.

Easy Mode and potions are your friends.
