Life changes!!
So I'm giving alternate-day fasting a shot. This is a reasonably terrible idea, because I love eating, and I dislike being hungry. But it's so healthy for you, not only weight-wise, but just generally health-wise. :|a
So, giving it a shot for a few days. Wooo. Side-effects of starting to fast may include irritability and fatigue. Sounds like a good time.
Also more determined to ever to someday write less fanfiction and write original fiction, because I keep having attacks of "why do I have to be at work today sob", which are not productive. But that someday shall not be last somenight, because I sat down and may have finished the Winter's Service prequel I've been working on.
So... Magda next. Probably. Yeah. >_>

No, probably not.
Good luck with the diet! BE A CAT! ...of which I am not one.

We're doing it! We're technically dieting together! Even if you're eating one way and I'm eating the other.

There are other, less extreme varieties ("complete fast for 20 hours, then there's a 4 hour window where you can eat", or 18:6, etc) and all of it is meant to address the same thing: we're not meant to graze all the time, so giving your body some time where it's not digesting frees it up to do other things. There's all sorts of health benefits as well...
I decided to go the "you can nibble if you need to, you just have to limit your calorie intake on the off day", because the reward is so lovely -- tomorrow I can eat pretty much whatever I want without worrying about calorie counts. I've been on a 1300ish calorie diet for months now. I'm very cautiously optimistic after today, and I can give you more details about what I did if you're curious. But I had very little overall hunger and I had eaten only 250ish calories by dinner.
And tomorrow I will bake cookies and eat all of them. Bwahaha!
