TV: Elementary is amazing sldfkjslkg two hour episode next week!! Parks & Rec was renewed thank goodness. Go On was canceled, which is tragic, because it was an amazing show with a huge amount of representation that tackled real heart-wrenching material with lightness and optimism and caring. It hurts me not to have any more Ryan+Anne brotp, bonding over their dead wives, and Ryan+Steven because motherfucking John Cho and they were perfect bffs. But Arrested Development will be back soon!

Writing: I finally got back into writing with a bunch of Sif prompts from Tumblr. I love prompts. Where is fic_promptly when I need it?! I thought about forming my own prompt comm, but it seemed like so much work...

Roleplay: And my own RP. I have all sorts of RP feelings. I looked at new games and made two new journals and my TWEWY love is back in force, let's see how long that lasts. But contemplating making a tiny game, no real AC, laid-back but with things happening to keep us engaged... I'll see.

So that is my scattered update. My sister's wedding is next week and I've got lots of stuff to do for it aieee. But for now I will be going back to my Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance liveplay.

Elementary is the best. My especial favorite scene is when Watson pushes over Sherlock's collection of locks THEY'RE BOTH SO GREAT. I need to catch up on all the episodes though but school's tomorrow so I can do that soon!!

Elementary is so incredibly amazing. There was a recent episode where he pouted and pretended to be terrible until she agreed to perform an autopsy on a corpse, and then he's all, "Mmm, yes, you're so skilled, Watson, I really--!" and she's like, "NO. WE BROKE INTO A MORGUE AND I AM PERFORMING AN AUTOPSY. WE ARE NOT HAVING A MOMENT RIGHT NOW." omg I'm so excited for Thursday's two hour episodes sdlkfjslkdjg get caught up and love it with me

I miss playing with Yaywon too. :( I was thinking about a game with, like, minimal if any apps/AC, same week to IC day timetable, with a varying setting and always with an optional task -- e.g., "Characters are all set on an abandoned tropical island. They can't leave. A voice from the sky tells them they have eight days to build a long-term shelter on the beach. Maybe something happens during that eight weeks to complicate it, like... a volcano explodes!" But this way we can experiment with fun new settings, and characters always have something to do, and they have the option of choosing not to do it (there would be some sort of penalty if they don't) but there's plenty of time for players to goof around, have antics, and make friends. idk, does that sound like something you'd want to do? Any thoughts or suggestions? It's still just in a concept stage so I'm open to altering it if you don't like part of it.

their friendship is the absolute best ;; I just like how sherlock and joan are so bffs. I mean bbc sherlock is fun to watch too, but I always felt like John was kind of Sherlock's tag-along buddy. but Elementary has a nice dynamic between them.

I really like the idea of having characters do a task in a set amount of time, since I'm always used to not doing anything/being kind of at a loss on what to do in games. I mean overarching plots are fun too (SURVIVE!!), but I like the idea of having tinier plots better like the "EIGHT DAYS TO BUILD A HOUSE GL EVERYONE". the one ic day to a week timetable sounds doable too! it's definitely a concept I can get behind. NOW I'M GETTING EXCITED...

Yeah -- a lot of the time it feels like they aren't partners so much as Watson is someone who reluctantly gets dragged into things by Sherlock's force of personality. It's really refreshing to see a version that puts them on almost equal footing, where Sherlock has his strengths but Watson has hers, and they're both important, and she's actively engaged in what they do.

I agree, I feel like having something to do, even if it's just in the background and optional, is more inspiring for me than going "The premise is, they're in a place. Do things!" That's why I wanted a setting that had something, even if it's just, "The premise is, they're in places, and each place has a task." I've already started putting it together so I'll update things when there's actual structure. ♥ Do you know who you'd want to play?

yes exactly!! JOAN AND SHERLOCK ARE SO GREAT they're everything I've wanted from a Sherlock and Watson pair. ;; I heard a lot of great things about the season finale too so now I'm even more excited to watch the rest of the episodes (and see the beautiful Irene Adler, who I've been spoiled for because of all the gifsets everyone reblogs BUT IT IS A GOOD SPOILING!)
