I don't think people livestream Nintendo 3DS without equipment and expensive/obnoxious jury rigging, so, screw that, even if I wanted to. I will update this post throughout playing on my commentary etc.

Takumi is being extremely standoffish with Corrin, even though she wants to get to know him. He explains that they were raised worlds apart and don't have much in common, and she grew up with the enemy, so he can't trust her even though she's his sister. She bullies him into teaching her archery, but it's slow going and Takumi is a very exacting teacher. Her hand slips and she gets injured, but she tries to ignore it and keep going. Takumi feels bad for being so cold to her. He later on finds her taking care of her bow and regretfully admits that he's witnessed her dedication to fighting for Hoshido and he will be less of a dick in the future. 3/5

If you do the S rank scene, Corrin is whooping with joy over her latest archery accomplishment, and Takumi tolerates it. But she's ready to keep training with him! Takumi hesitates and tells her awkwardly that he loves her. BUT IT'S NOT ACTUALLY INCEST. Queen Mikoto left a letter with Takumi that she told him to open if he ever worried about the woman he fell in love with, thanks to her gift of prophecy. It reveals that King Sumeragi is not actually Corrin's father -- Mikoto already had an infant child when she met him, and he raised Corrin as his own, and he died for her so he obviously loved her, but wasn't LITERALLY her dad. It seems strange that no one, including Sumeragi's existing children, noticed that their new queen had an existing child when she married the king, but whatever. So Sumeragi is everyone else's father, but not Corrin's, and Mikoto was Corrin's mother, as far as we know, but most of his children came from his previous wife. Maybe all of his children? Am I supposed to believe that Corrin is younger than Sakura? Or did Sumeragi have multiple simultaneous wives? Ugh, idk. Moving on.

Takumi struggled with telling this to Corrin because he didn't want to undermine her family bonds with them. But he can't exactly pretend to be her brother when he feels this way about her, so. And Corrin reassures him that they're all still precious to her, and... she had some forbidden feelings that are no longer forbidden herself. "Let's give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen?" Corrin asks. lol. Support: Technicalities ftw.

Felicia is having a good time doing the laundry when she and Takumi run into each other. They bitch at each other and then she starts crying. There's no crying in baseball, Felicia!! Takumi awkwardly offers to help her. This ends up happening more than once and she chatters on at him while they're dealing with the laundry and he just makes some monosyllabic noises. They bicker about him not saying anything and her saying ALL the things and eventually they both leave it alone. Eventually Takumi acknowledges that she is a hard worker and she really tries, and he respects that. Just stop rambling about your damn village. 2/5

In the S support Takumi greets Felicia with "I hope you haven't come to tell me more about your village" lol. Felicia is irritable and insists that he'd like it, and he agrees genially. Of course he would. If it's special to Felicia, it's special to Takumi. He's just sick of hearing about it every time he's with her when he's grappling with all of the feelings that he has. Felicia claims she saw right through his gruff behavior and they agree to go to her village someday. Support: Cold.

Rinkah is so snappish when Takumi tries to talk to her that he's skeptical she actually wants her tribe to be allied with Hoshido. She won't say whether or not she would have the alliance if she were the chief, and Takumi is troubled. Later on he stumbles across her campsite and realizes that whatever she's cooking smells AMAZING. He tries to coerce her into sharing but their combined bitch level needs to go down a few notches before she's going to do him any favors. In the future he does help her catch a deer for her dinner, as a show of good faith in their alliance. Can he just pretty please have a bite... 3/5

Now, S. They were talking about how they make a good team and should try hunting together, and now they are! She's in a good mood thanks to the increased independence from the army, and he realizes he loves their hunting sessions. He gives her a jewel that belonged to the Flame Tribe -- it was a gift of friendship to the king of Hoshido, and his mother gave it to him, to give to the woman he loves. Rinkah angrily refuses to believe that he's serious for a bit, then relaxes slowly and accepts the jewel. Let's get married. Support: Warm and fuzzy.

Azura is fussing over Takumi -- his clothes, his eating habits, etc. Takumi is irritated by it, even though Azura says Mikoto wanted them to act like real siblings. We're not kids anymore! But he does see Azura another time hanging out with an argumentative child who is refusing to tell her where he's supposed to be. Takumi effortlessly gets the kid to talk about his adventures and then offers to give him a piggyback ride home. Azura is super impressed, and goes to thank him after he returns. He might have some perspective on what it's like to be a mischievous and stubborn brat! But Takumi reluctantly says that he regrets his behavior -- he knows he's not approachable, but he really does want them to be closer, Mikoto or not. 4/5

To shake things up, an S scene with a stupid premise. Takumi is talking in his sleep while having a nightmare about Mikoto's death, which is easily one of the worst plot devices of all time. Azura goes to wake him up and he's embarrassed, but she flings herself at him and says that she'll always be here for him because WE'RE FAMILY. And Takumi tells her that he's never wanted to be her family -- he's been in love with her since they met and that's why he's been a dick every time she tried to talk about being his sister. Azura is surprised, but says that she tried to be a good sister because she wanted to be close to him but always wished there could be something else between them. Now that they both feel the same way they can be a very DIFFERENT kind of family! Support: Wake up and smell the cute, only slightly weird ship.

Takumi observes Hana at practice and she reminisces about when they used to train together, but Takumi RUNS OFF, which makes her wonder. He stalks her silently a few more times at her training, which is super weird, and then she asks him why they stopped training together. Takumi can't believe she doesn't remember. Sakura stopped by their training and Hana proposed a duel with practice swords and Hana wanted to show off and Takumi didn't want to hurt his little sister's friend right in front of her so when she really went at it Takumi ended up beaten senseless. Hana does not even remember this, but it has clearly traumatized him. After a while Hana stubbornly goes to find him and begs him to allow her to protect him, because she was waaaay out of line hurting Sakura's brother, one of her charges. Takumi decides that they can spar again -- not because she should protect him, which she shouldn't, but because she needs to be strong for Sakura. Hana is surprised to see him smile! 4/5

When you S support them, Hana is reporting to Takumi on a regular basis that she has successfully protected Sakura, and he is like, you don't... need to constantly tell me, I'm confident you can do it. But Hana admits that she liked the excuse to talk with him -- he was quite cold with her before they talked out the sparring incident, and she's wanted to spend more time with him to confirm her feelings for him. Takumi teases her a little because he likes her too. Hana is super happy and it's cute. Support: Awww, violence!

Orochi has a cute doll and teases Takumi about how he used to sleep with dolls at night. Takumi is snappish and embarrassed and she hints that she might tell people about it, and he's very gruff with her, and annoyed about the whole ordeal. She keeps pestering him with stories about how she used to change his diapers, ack. Lots of stories about what a scared kid he was and he keeps biting at her and then stomps off. Orochi is dismayed that now Takumi won't even talk to her. They're supposed to be friends, but he hardly considers her behavior recently to be "friendly". He is an ADULT. A ROYAL adult. Now cut it OUT. Orochi gives him some side-eye and then realizes that he's taller than she is, even though this has been true for years. She tsks at him for ALLOWING her to tease him like a little brother when he's more like a big brother now! She agrees to treat him more like an adult. 2/5 I guess

In the S support Takumi comes barreling in shouting because he's upset that she's treating him like TOO much of an adult. He enjoyed her teasing and now he misses it! They agree to be cat and mouse for life. Support: Diapers.

Takumi is off on the hunt, and promptly stumbles upon Setsuna stuck in a trap. As usual she fails to perceive any criticism in his bitching, and he shows her how to get out of the trap. This happens a second time, but this time she came looking for him specifically because she was hoping he would tutor her in the bow because of how skilled he is. Takumi is a bit flustered, but agreeable. The next time he's about to go hunting he looks all over for her, even in the traps, but he can't find her until she comes moseying out of the forest with some dead animals. She accidentally went early and killed some stuff without him. ...That's it. 1/5

If you insist on making them S rank, he's showing her to keep her eyes out for traps, unsuccessfully. But she's still happy just to spend time with him. She likes him. He's kind and a great hunter and generally awesome. Takumi gives in to the inevitable and says the feeling is mutual. They will tell Hinoka so she can worry slightly less about her incompetent retainer. Support: Incompetent indeed.

Takumi wants to thank Oboro for all her fashion help, because he's been complimented on outfits she picked out for him. She tells the stories of how her tailor family died, AGAIN, and he says he'll keep coming to her for any ceremonial garb he needs after the war is over. She immediately starts planning his clothes for the victory celebration. She says she thinks her family would be proud to see her fitting Hoshidan royalty, and he agrees. Later on he tells her that he's gotten even more requests for Oboro to pick out clothes for people, and she says she'd love to, so she gets a weird side-gig. He tells her that he's happy to arrange things so that she can be his retainer, but also do some tailoring work when she's free. That makes her happy. 3/5

S stands for sabotage. Oboro comes to Takumi and tells him to scrap all their plans for her tailoring side-gig, and when he asks why she starts SOBBING. She's in love with him and she can't hide her feelings anymore so she's quitting! Quitting the army, and his service, and tailoring, and LIFE. Takumi is stunned, and then is like, do you really think I didn't notice your feelings? Jeez. I was kind of hoping we could get married some day. And you don't have to give up fashion, that's why I was helping you. She is happy again, but I am concerned. She might need some medication to handle that depression. Support: Hysterical.

Unlike in all the other supports, many of which he spent being an awesome hunter who was praised for his skill, in this support, Takumi can't figure out how to hunt. He is conveniently completely incompetent. She has to teach him how to hide his presence from animals. He complains about all her suggestions until she says that Ryoma once asked her for the same training and HE did it all, so if you're not ready to improve yourself, gtfo. Takumi does the training because comparing him to Ryoma is a low blow and becomes a more patient person. -2/5

Why do you want to S rank them? This is a stupid support. Well, Takumi is excited that he's no longer inexplicably incompetent and then tells her that he suffers from feelings. Kagero is agreeable with dating him. Support: GTFO.

Takumi is contemplating a huge field of crops and Mozu comes to angrily shoo him away because he's trampling the sprouts. He is apologetic and offers to help her put the little farm back together, but she snaps that he's helped plenty and royalty aren't great farmers. Riled, Takumi sets out to PROVE HE CAN FARM. He quickly discovers that this is exhausting work and there's much more to it than he thought. She giggles and tells him to go so she can finish, and he is bewildered how she manages, but he does stick around and help her with something else, and she thanks him. In the end he gets to be a real pro at farming! 3/5

Then, if you S rank them, Mozu feels compelled to tell Takumi that she's always had an image of her ideal man. Dependable -- helpful around the farm -- and he's really fit the role, and moreso every day. Obviously he's a prince and she's a nobody so it doesn't matter, but she wanted him to know. Takumi doesn't think it doesn't matter! He says that he's never been happier than he is out in the field with her, and that she's making him a gentler and more patient person, and he loves her. Support: Blooming.
