The bandits are the same losers who were stalking the students, and their leader Kostas is annoyed -- he wasn't told that the Knights of Seiros would be involved if he attacked the students.

His patron, a weird armored dude with a red and white mask and feathers, is very dismissive of him and his problems, but interested in the situation with Byleth -- child of the former captain of the knights, a mercenary that Rhea immediately made a professor. What's up with that?

BANDIT: Hey! I'm talking to you! How do we finish this?
ARMORED DUDE: You die.
