Wow, it's remarkable how a petty failure can add onto the sort of misery you're already half in tears over. I'm still the same level of miserable after the petty failure, but now I have less capability to think of good things to supplement my spirits.

Revenge of the Room-Dwellers

Loud drunken girls in the communal bathroom, which is luckily enough attached directly to our suite. So we can all hear them, their semi-coherent gossip echoing, while they stagger about seemingly without any discernible intention to leave, having long conversations in what amounts to our bathroom.

Put on Rammstein from Val's speakers. Maximum volume. They were gone by the time the song ended, so we could turn it down again and respectfully observe quiet hours.

Gotta love the ear-pounding angry German wailing. I feel better already.
