Hanukkah loot consists of...
MOM & JOHN: Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, original cast recording YES! Guys and Dolls soundtrack, new cast recording YES! although it wasn't on the list. "America the Book", YES! and two self-help books about self-confidence and assertiveness, sigh but I could probably use them. Also an unspecified amount of money that I haven't actually received, YES! I guess
GRANDPARENTS: $200 cash, YES!
AUNT/COUSIN: $20 gift certificate to Borders, COOL!
SISTER: Suikoden IV, YES! ...someday. And a bill for $250! I don't know if it's that great an idea to do communal shopping after all, next year, if that's my HALF
Upcoming Christmas loot as well, from Dad and another handful of relatives, as always promises to be impressive. If it isn't that impressive, well, he is paying for $500 of my laptop, which should be in before the year is out. After that maybe I'll make the rounds visiting people who live in warmer climes and/or have efficient heating, as opposed to this shell of a house. XD On the bright side, my mother assures me the walls and roof will be intact again before we get back from post-Christmas hanging-around-at-Dad's, so theoretically our house will be less likely to let in every stray breeze like a whore.
Important note! If I am sending you a card, and/or a gift, and you are a friend, thus meaning my sister the superior human being was not involved, you probably should not be expecting anything until January. Mid-January, maybe. But it will get there. Just don't expect it. ...ever. That way it'll be a surprise!
Tomorrow I'm going to stay in bed forever and just read my books and listen to my music. If I had a laptop I could do all those things AND be online. Damn you, lack of laptop! *ponders name for the laptop*
