Samara must ask for Shepard's help. She has found "Morinth", the Ardat-Yakshi, her daughter. She has a rare genetic disorder that makes her burn out people's brains when she mindmelds with them. The effect is narcotic.

So now we literally have a black widow asari, that's fun.

FRIENDLY SUGGESTION: IF YOUR CHILDREN ALL HAVE A GENETIC DISORDER THAT MAKES THEM GLEEFUL MURDERERS, MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP HAVING KIDS BEFORE YOU GET TO THREE.

We find the grieving mother of Morinth's latest victim, who tells us about her daughter.

Samara tells us in no uncertain terms how Morinth is so fucking hot and how she seduces her victims and how irresistible she is. This is a mother describing her daughter, game.

Is Samara turned on by her?! What is this.

Samara suggests that since Morinth is attracted to people with creative spark, and Shepard is an artist on the battlefield, Shepard will draw her and should be the bait to lure her out. Great. I'm going to enjoy this so much.

So I guess her kids weren't being kept in witness protection; they live on a barren rock because they're not allowed to come into accidental mind meld with anyone.

If there are only three and all three are her daughters, I assume it's because everyone else is dead? I kind of wish there were at least one more unrelated to Samara, she and her bondmate are a genetic lotto win.

I like the idea that this disease would be something ONLY pure blood Askari could have -- recessive -- but I wish it were more common among pure bloods, if only to help explain what is essentially their hatred of themselves, you know?

Shepard runs around the Afterlife, mostly being Shepard -- charming bartenders, saving innocents, bullying bad guys -- but sometimes these actions amount to nothing for no reason I can discern. Then Morinth just appears and purrs over Shepard for a while and Shepard tells Morinth all about how much she likes violence and drugs, and then gets to go back to Morinth's.

The game does give a visible shift when Morinth is actually using her witchy powers on Shepard, justifying the sudden switch to "CAN'T... THINK..." but Shepard is too awesome for it and I can Paragon my way out of it easily. Can't seduce Shepard, she eats bitches like you for lunch.

Then Samara busts in and they shout at each other some and I get to choose which of them to kill, which is hilarious. Shepard kills Morinth.
